Head - Finance

Objective / Purpose of the job

We are seeking a strategic and seasoned financial leader to oversee our organization's financial health and operations. As the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for maintaining & closing books of accounts, financial planning, risk management, and ensuring compliance with all statutory regulations. You will provide executive-level insights to drive growth and operational efficiency

Key Responsibilities 

  • Financial Leadership: Direct all financial activities such as vendor payment, reconciliation, GAIL payment, Employee reimbursements, Salary payment, Fund management, payment to various Government authorities, including accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term business plans and investment strategies.
  • Reporting: Ensure the timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the Board.
  • Compliance & Audit: Oversee statutory and other audits, tax filings, and adherence to Indian accounting standards and corporate laws.
  • Treasury Management: Monitor cash flow, manage banking relationships, and optimize working capital.
  • Internal Controls: Maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risk.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor the finance team at the Head Office and Geographical Area to ensure high performance and professional growth
  • Any other roles and responsibility assigned by Management from time to time

Knowledge and Competencies

  • Mastery of budgeting, forecasting, and financial trend prediction.
  • Expertise in capital budgeting, cost optimization, investment strategies, and treasury management
  • Working knowledge of Project Accounting, Reconciliation, TDS, GST, Finance Statement, Audit Process etc
  • Risk Management
  • Technical Skills: Expert knowledge of ERP system, Ind AS, and GST regulations.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, ethical leadership, and excellent negotiation skills.

Education

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) OR Cost and Management Accountant(CMA)

Experience

  • Minimum 05 years of post-qualification experience in any industry. Experience in CGD company will be given preference.
